Default 2011 Ford Escape XLT Keyless Entry Setup?

Hi! For my Ford Escape, I want to find out how I can find the keyless entry code and then change it to something I would prefer. Thanks!

Have the white card in the owners guide folder?

No white card - that was the first thing I looked for.

Bring it to a DEALER sometimes they are nice enough to just pull your KEYLESS entry code for you. Changing the keyless entry code is your responsibility and the instructions should be in your owner's manual, if you want the dealer to pull your keyless entry code and program it probably will charge you 50 BUCKS. Just call around and ask if you can get your keyless entry code pulled. Usually the dealer you bought it from should honor your request, if you did get it from a dealer.

Default Don't go to the dealer...

You don't have to go to the dealer to get the code. I just pulled the code off of mine. It's underneath the center console. You have to gently pry up the chrome accent ring that goes around the shifter, then pull the plastic tray that goes under the armrest. Once that is pulled, pull the entire plastic center console up from the center. It's held on by plastic clips but still takes a good tug. Once that is up, you can see the PCM. On the sticker on the PCM there is a 5 digit code on the bottom left of the sticker that shows your PCM code. It will probably be upside down, so look at the top right. There you will see your factory 5 digit code and it will be small.

Sorry if I brought an old post back from the dead, I didn't look at the dates. I just know that looking online to find that key code everyone tells you to go pay money at the dealer... It's not necessary.
