When I got my 2018 Ford Escape, there were roof racks. And it was not a big deal. I have no plans to use them. Now I am ready to remove them. Has anyone removed the factory racks? If so, what all does it entail?

 

1. On both sides.
   Release the clips and remove the roof rail bolt covers.

I'm planiing to make a DIY roof rack and I need the exact location of the holes for holding the rook rack.
