2020 Escape MPG's - 3-cylinder EcoBoost
I bought my 2022 Escape SE AWD in early 2023 with just 12K miles. Since then I've put 30K miles on it. I've never averaged more than 23 MPG in mixed-use driving. Based on the sticker I should be averaging higher. Anyone else seeing the same thing?
if the door jamb label says 35 psi for tire pressure, you can try to increase it to like 37 psi (always check pressure at cold). Also unload nonessential stuffs like air compressor or tools.
Mixed-use driving, the stop and go and a bit highway really can't tell accurately, especially when the driving style may vary, also when you live on the hill it can make big difference, you will need to take a long trip to see if you get close to the 34 mpg on highway.
Also note that when the low fuel light comes on, you might still have 1 or 2 gallons left, never know until you really run out of gas completely, but don't do it, it can make your fuel pump to have premature failure.
