Trying to figure out what causes my Escape to go into Deep Sleep. Yesterday came back from a 70 mile round trip to the dealer at about 2pm. At 7pm noticed it was in Deep Sleep. Temperature was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Didn't go out and put a volt meter on it, but it started up this AM. About a month ago the dealer replaced the battery

 

Insufficient info, but very unusual for a new vehicle to require a battery replacement.
Do you know which battery was replaced, the 12 volt battery or the high voltage battery?

Deep Sleep is the state the vehicle is supposed to go into when it sits unused for 14 days, when voltage drops below 9.5 volts or in extreme heat or cold. The 12 volt battery was replaced.

 

OK we are talking about the same thing.
Vehicles that have electronic networks consume battery power until they go into sleep mode. That takes place in about 45 minutes to an hour after shutdown. This is to conserve battery power. In sleep mode battery consumption is reduced to approx 50 milliamps which can vary according to manufacturer. This is to retain memory.
.Under normal circumstances the battery should be able to start the vehicle after 2 weeks. If not , could be a battery problem, a module not going into sleep mode keeping the network awake, or even a signal the network picks up awaking the network. Something as simple as the remote being too close to the vehicle can awaken the network because it thinks the operator is getting ready to start the vehicle and gets everything set to go. These things take place and most folks are not aware just how sensitive the vehicles are today. I hope some of the above answers your concern.
