accelerator cable

i had the escape recall done on the accelerator. just recently i was at a light and very softly tapped the accelerator pedal and suddenly the engine raced.has anyone had the same thing happen??

changed alot of them for the recall and never heard any sticking before or after but i would get it checked out.
