I have an issue with the gas pedal on a 04' F-250 that I need some help with please. The pin thatsecures the pedal on the arm has come out along with the spring. Does anyone have a clue on how this thing goes back together and or any ideas on how to keep it from working loose again? This thing looks so simple it's ridiculous but I had a tech at the dealer spend about twenty minutes on the thing and he couldn't figure it out. I know the 07's have a solid mount pedal (without spring) so I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or any thoughts on putting this back together. Appreciate any ideas. Thanks - Jeff

 

The pin has 'just enough' of a shoulder sticking through, or 'pin extended' beyondthe pedal bracket to drill a small hole for a pin/cotter pin.. Easier done with either the pedal assy removed, or the pin driven out of the arm.....OK.... So,,, if your looking at the pedal straight on like its invisible, the coil side of the spring would be on the left side of the pedal between the outer bracket and the arm.. The spring 'tail' goes against the pedal underside face.. The spring arm hooks over the top of the throttle arm..
