I bought my wife an '05 Ford Escape XLT with auto sensing four wheel drive.

I've had it for 2 winters now. Last winter we had 1 bad snow storm. The 4WD never "turned on". Took it to the dealer; dealer said everything checked out.

Last week we had our first snow storm of the winter and again the 4WD never turned on. Additionally,my wifegot stuck in the end of the driveway, yet, no auto 4WD.

Has anyone else had any problems with this? and, if yes, what do you suggest I do to get this resolved?

Keep in mind, there is no manual 4WD option. The auto sensing has to turn on for the vehicle to kick into 4WD.
