Default Changing out the a/c conds. transmission cooling unit

If anyone could provide me on how to change out the a/c conds. transmission cooler unit I sure would appreciate it. I have a leak around the inlet transmission line going into it. I dont have the 1500 to have it done. Also, is there a repair manual I could buy to guide me through the process. Thanks

Many times a Haynes manual ,usually available in just about any auto parts store, may cover what you need.

Try to check the leak area as thoroughly as possible because it may only be leaking at the fitting and not the cooler itself. If it is the fitting , they should be available separately from any dealership. Some of the fittings require a special tool to release them and that makes the job a lot easier. Let us know what you found, thanks.

what if I put a aftermarket cooling unit only in for the transmission and plugged up the holes on the old one? The a/c cond. is still working great. Would this work? I know 3-4 people that have done this and they have gone thousands of miles on their escapes.
