I have a 2001 Escape, It is throwing code #P0 351 Primary/secondary coil failure, it is also showing a code saying #1 cylinder is misfiring. Is replacing #1 coil going to also take care of the P0351 code? Thank You

 

I believe you have a coil pack on your vehicle. If you replace the coil pack, that should cure you P0351 code, but you may have a problem with the spark plug or wire or both for the miss.

 

I had a P0301 code, which is cyl #1 misfiring. It ended up being all 6 ignition coils being bad. Bad boys cost me upwards of 1,100.00 to replace. Runs smooth now.

 

I also have a 2001 Escape that just started giving me P0351 Coil A primary secondary malfunction. I replaced the coil for cylinder #1 and replaced all spark plugs while I was at it. The vehicle ran great for about 40 miles and then stated running poorly and the same code was triped again.
