Default concerned about nothing?

Hello, I drive a 2010, 3 liter Escape. It has 127,000 kilometers almost all highway kil. it starts well and runs good. My concern is that it seem to have developed a slight vibration in the engine.

When running and I put my hand on the air intake I can feel it, now it has gotten worse and I can now feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel. It has been parked all day in -35 Celsius weather and not plugged in.

My wife says I am worried about nothing, but my experience with cars tell me things are not quite right. There are no engine lights, I let it go because my dad says trucks engines do not run as smooth as cars, it is just they way they are made.

However now it has gotten more pronounced!

Would love to hear some feed back. Thanks a ton!

At 127k km isn't it due for a tune up anyway? Not sure how that translates to miles but its close I know. If there was a misfire the pcm would have thrown a light. Is there only a concern at idle? With everything hardened from the cold temps it will transmit more throught the body and to the steering wheel. Is the engine visually shaking?

Firs off thank you for your response! I have done a complete tune up, and the truck starts great and runs well. I am starting to think that it is just the cold as my smart wife says it is. The engine is not shaking so that you can see it, it is very slight and most people would not notice it! I can just feel a slight shake when I put my hand on the air intake.

If is is visible it is not profound in any case. I would say that shake is very slight at this point, I am keeping an eye on it for now!

Yeah they will all shake like that a bit at times and is totally normal in my experience here at the dealer.

Default Thank you!

Well Thank you for your time, and for putting my mind at ease for now! I do take really good care of my Escape and drive it with the utmost respect. I bought it new and have babied from day one.

I believe that many of the problems we read about here, are because people drive there vehicles to hard or don't do the best maintenance. Not all but a good number of the maybe but maybe that just make me feel better?
