Coolant issues

2004 Ford escape.
I have the radiator drain plug out;bottom radiator hose off..plastic reservoir is full of water, coolant but not draining ..still full.
Any suggestions..ideas..possible cures?

It needs a vent to allow air in as coolant escapes. Did you try removing the UPPER hose too? Are you positive the radiator is full?

Upper hose,no.no drain plug on radiator and bottom hose off.should be plenty to vent.radiator obviously is empty.

Yamavstar,
How about we get the reason you started this whole thing?
What really happened and did you determine just what ?

I'm pretty sure there is a lot more to know before offering and ideas, what do you think? thanks.

What prompted this was overheating.but the reservoir was still at a good level.i believe the prob was this.found one of these in the reservoir blocking the outlet to radiator and when I took off hose from reservoir to radiator found what I'm gonna call deer turd looking things.test drive here after a beer...lol

While waiting for pictures to load I would recommend pouring water in the radiator fill and seeing what comes the open radiator drain. Mostly just to see what happens.

Once again...the reservoir will not drain.pics will clarify.

Ohh I didn't realize that year didn't have a radiator cap. The coolant reservoir cap does need to be removed though.
