Default Engine RPM drops down every time I refuel

2017 Escape with 2.0 L engine and 37,000 miles on the odometer. Every time I get gas(only use Shell gasoline), when you restart the car to leave the fuel station, the engine RPM goes up then down and then back up again. Once you start driving the engine RPM stays correct. When you restart the car cold or hot, the idle is perfect. The up/down RPM only happens after you are finished getting gas. Does anyone know why this is occuring? It seems that the up/down idle after fueling is getting worse! There is no check engine lights coming on.

When fueling the vapors are supposed to go to a charcoal canister to be contained and burned at a later time under certain driving conditions.
What controls that time is a purge valve which can be mounted in the engine compartment or on the canister. The vehicle computer controls the purge valve.
If the purge valve is sticking open it can produce the condition you describe. I would not contemplate replacing anything until you verify that is the problem.

Default No check engine light YET!

The problem seems to be gettinga tiny bit worse each time I start car after refueling but no code light yet. It started this behavior about 6 months ago. Do you think I will eventially get a code light so that I can check the code to confirm that it is the purge valve stuck open before I replace it? If you go to Rock Auto, they have a Dorman cheat repair part were you just replace the purge valve. They also have a replacement part that forces you to change all the purge valve lines and the purge valve as an assembly but you will have much more time installing the OEM replacement part that is the lines and valve as a assembly. If you could share your thoughts, I would appreciate any comments. Thank you for your help!

I would consider doing just the purge valve first.
