Without spending a whole lot of time searching because I am impatient I figured I would ask first. I have a 2010 Ford Escape 2.5L 4cyl. A code p-144a showed up when the check eng light came on. I have replaced the evap purge valve that is on the front of the engine. Light is still on. I have read there is a separate evap canister that is different from the valve. This is a large black square device under the driver side. Could this be defective? I have a capless tank. Could the closing valve be defective? Someone point me in some direction.
