Default Escape....Tribute....Same?

Are the Escape and Tribute the same vehicles, do they both go down the same assembly line?

Two assembly lines that I know of, one in Kansas City, and the other in Japan. If it was built for the Asian countries and Australia it was probably built on an assembly line in Japan. I forget where specifically. All others (including those bound for Great Britain's Maverick)have been built on the KCAP in Kansas City. I was thinking that there is one in South America, but I have been told by others that plant never existed except in someone's imagination. I honestly don't know one way or the other about that facility.[sm=sigh.gif]

U.S.-market Tributes certainly come from the same line.

Other differences are styling, possibly suspension tuning (I've read that the Mazda is firmer), and warranty (longer basic warranty on pre-2009 Tributes).
