Question Hitch Question

For those of you towing trailers and whatnot....is there really any difference in brands of hitches, or all they six of one and half a dozen of the other? I've read every review I can find and they all sound the same to me. Curt? Hidden Hitch? Draw tite? I will be buying one for a Thule bike rack and in a couple years a light weight trailer like an A-Liner hard sided pop-up. Any opinions on the best hitch for my Escape? 2008 Ltd V6 3.0 2wd.

Default hitches

I think they're all the same. Although I put a Hidden Hitch on my 2007 just because it visually looked better i.e. curved round tube as opposed to a square looking hitch made from square tube.

Thanks Beagleboy....after continued research, I'm going with the Hidden Hitch also.

Lots of choice on www.hitchanything.com , bought mine there and does the job. You might want to look for a heavier type right away as you mentioned future use will be different from your thule rack. Good luck!
