I just bought a 2001 Ford Escape but it didn't come with a keyless remote and the salesman wasnt sure. Is there any way I can find out if it was manufactured with keyless entry? I'm not sure if there is somewhere I can enter the VIN and find out all the options it came from. Thanks ahead of time for the help!

 

If equipped with remote entry and missing the transmitters, you can option test by turning the ignition from 'OFF to RUN' position eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the RUN position. If remote equipped/optioned, it wouldenter transmitter program mode, and it will 'lock and unlock' all the doors electrically to verify the programing mode.
