Default Help needed: Mystery Box

Hi,<br /><br />Yesterday morning a wallaby jumped out of nowhere in front of our 2006, 4 cylinder, ford escape. The car ended up better than the roo, all the damage we had was a cracked bumper. Out of the bumper under the left headlight came a strange plastic box. It seemed to may have been connected to the air filter system, but it does not allow an airflow through, as it only has one opening.<br /><br />Does anyone know what this mystery box might be for?<br /><img src="https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fordforum.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/20200910_112431_7f225058beaf21333e9df435b6820892bb 0127f5.jpg"></img><br /><img src="https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fordforum.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/20200911_110443_2f5dabd6107d4dc734b6d2d3e8fe3c8889 253912.jpg"></img><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
