Default Problems with leather seats

I have a 2008 Escape Limited with so-called premium leather seats. The paper thin leather is peeling off the seat. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The seats on our 09 are still perfect. However we bought this one in December and it has 20,000 miles. The day we were looking at all the 09 program cars the dealer had just gotten in we noticed one in particular with problems like yours. The salesman told us there was a recall on Escape seats and some would get a new cover installed by the service department. This particular one was one of those. Luckily we did not buy it and decided on a different color.

I would check with Ford on the possibility of them giving you a replacement. If that fails and especially if you bought it new, raise some stink and request to speak to a region service manager or call the home office.

This is our first experience with leather. Everybody seems to like it for some reason. Keep the forum posted on your results in getting this issue resolved. Good luck!
