Cool Rear back up sensors (PAS or Parking Assist System)

I have tried just about everything I have read about to attempt to fix this. I have a 2008 Escape Hybrid. The PAS switch on the dash is "off" and it will not turn back on. Therefore, there are no audible beeps that keep me from running over bikes, scooters, and kids when backing up. I have tried the fuse, I have tested all four sensors on the rear bumper...all are receiving power and respond to touch. I am guessing my last three options are a bad dash switch (yet it lights up and shows the system as off), a bad PAS Module, or a bad speaker. I am yet to read about any other owners having to replace any of those three, so I am skeptical. Any help???

Chances are that you have a bad speaker
