Default Rear window seal bad?

Getting a very small amount of water dripping down the inside of my rear window from the top during rain. Looking at the seal, they look ok. How hard is it to replace or is this the known window leaking issue? 2012 Escape

There are a few you tube clips on replacement, not a difficult job. Apparently the aftermarket weather stripping has a little more loft and seals much better. Good idea to replace asap becsuse water running down into the door panel will cause all kinds of expensive electrical problems with the door latches etc. 2007 - 2012 model years all have the same problem weather stripping, door and hatch lactching and window hinge corrosion. ... good luck.

Try calling Rubber the Right Way www.RubberTheRightWay.com. They have been great to me and offer top quality windshield, back glass seals among others. They may offer a replacement seal and or advice.

Not hard to replace at all. I replaced mine with a new Motorcraft. I read many post of the original seal losing the ability to seal after a few years. the new seal is supposed to be redesigned. The widow will be hard to close at first after replacing but do not adjust the latch as after a few days it will seat in. I purchased mine from Rock Auto at a much better price than the stealer ship.
