Remote start
I have a problem with my 2018 Ford Escape remote start and wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience and possibly a solution. The remote start works fine when the temperatures are mild, say 20 degrees and above. When the temperatures fall into the teens and below the remote start rarely works. The process goes through the “motions” and the engine turns over but does not start. It “feels” like it’s out of fuel. You can try this several times with the same result, then go to the car and it will start when sitting in the car – not utilizing the remote feature. When the car was under warranty I mentioned this to a service advisor once and he sais, “Yeah I’ve heard of that.” Not much help.
