Default Traffic function not working properly

I am hoping someone can provide the fix to our problem.

2016 Escape
Sync with Sirius Traffic

According to Sirius we have all the necessary subscriptions for everything to work properly.
We live south of Omaha, Nebraska.
Sirius coverage map shows we should be covered.

Here is the problem:
When my wife has the GPS provide directions to a destination in Omaha and there is an accident of the Interstate into Omaha the GPS continues to tell her to take that Interstate even though the traffic is at a standstill. When she leaves that destination to return home the GPS Traffic wants her to take another Interstate which is closed for construction. It has been closed for months and has a couple of more months of construction.

The dealer doesn't seem to have a fix and the Sync software is up to date.
I have sent a help request to Sirius and I have heard nothing back from there.

Couple of questions for now:
1. Does anyone have any suggestions?
2. It looks like the Maps come from TomTom. Can anyone confirm this and I assume they also provide the Traffic software. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks ahead of time

Last I knew, NAVTEQ was the provider of maps, traffic and location data for all Vehicle and portable navigation systems database ( including Garmin, TomTom and such). You may want to check with them.
