i have a 2001 escape xlt. after start up about 30 to 45 seconds a beeping starts and sounds 5 times then pauses and does it again for about one min and stops but does it again after a while of driving any ideas will greatly help

 

I have the same problem ... just started... has anyone recevied a solutiuon? I have a 2001 Escape 100,500 miles.... any solutions?

 

It's related to the SRS or airbag system. Just happened to me a couple of days ago, too.
There are 5 quick beeps in a row, repeated five times, it's in the manual.
But I haven't found a way to disable the airbag system yet, and/or find out how much it is to fix.

I hope it's just a faulty indicator light or sensor or something.
