A 1995 Ford Escort XL 1.9L?
Before people say i should 'look up' this idea before i even attempt it and thats what im doing you are part of that 'looking up process'
Main question is i have a 1995 Ford Escort XL 1.9L 2Door Standard.
What possible ways could i upgrade the current engine 'Without blowing my budget' iv heard that the gaskets won handle it and such and there is a part that will make it 'handle a super charge' but thats 5000.00 for that one part.
If i can't upgrade this one. im not asking to be fast just to increase the power so its obviously better then alot of Ford escorts around and possibly even beat out new - faster cars.
Im not use to Car iv only done work to two Chevy Trucks for offroading.
but yeah if it can't handle any more power because of failures, over heating, blowing parts, etc. What engine should i possibly throw in there from another Car? and should i keep the trans or get the engine with the Trans and such?

If you want to go faster then other cars, they do sell a Mustang Cobra. I've driven Escorts forever (well over 20 years now), worked on them since the day they came out, and never seen much done with them.
I always wanted to put a small (like maybe 3 psi) turbo on one, and that would make it a great deal faster, but it could only be done with a more generic kit that would leave other problems (turbo lag, possibly a check engine light).
Good luck.
