1997 escort power steering pump problems

whats the most likely problem with the power steering pump that you cant see where its leaking from ? what is the most typical problem or issue?

From my own personal experience, most of the time it was a hose close to the pump.
Have you cleaned the area well and confirmed it is actually coming from the pump itself?
