Default '97 Escort Wheel Bearing question

Hey, new to the forum, looks like a great place. I have a '97 Escort with a bad rear wheel bearing, anyone here replaced one? How involved is it? Can it be done with regular hand tools or are specialized tools required? Any advice would be appreciated!

Drum or Disc rears?

Either way, not a bad job to do, and no real 'special' tools needed to replace the bearings if your familiar with a wheel bearing replacement.. Drumequipped would be slightly easier since you'd only need to remove the drum, the dust cap, axle nut ect., then hub/bearing assembly.. Disc would involve theremoval of the brake rotor, which requires the caliper and anchor/mount as wellto be removed.. I can help you with some illustration/s if needed..
