Question 98 Escort

Fan is running continuosly, is this a thermostat problem? Or something else? where is the thermostat located>

There are 4 reasons that I can think of at the moment that would cause the fan to run all the time.
The first is when you have an engine overheat condition, when the A/C is turned on, when the coolant sensor notifies the computer to turn on the fan and if the coolant fan relay is stuck closed. A defective computer can also do this, but not a very common problem.
Depending on what engine is in the vehicle some thermostats are where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine others have it where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine.
