Would anyone here happen to know if the second-gen Escorts ('91-'96) with the 1.9L were known to have problems with the oil pump gasket or the head gasket leaking oil externally? I'm curious because I'm investigating a rather large leak coming from the front of the engine but thus far I have not pinpointed the source. I put leak detector dye in the oil and I'm hoping to find it today, but I was just wondering if this was a common issue. Thanks in advance!
