My wife has a 1993 Escort LX and the matrix has burst, has any body change one on this period model, I have got as far as the main matrix box behind the heater controls, removed the two lower fixing nuts but the unit seems attatched at the top under the dashboard, but I can't see any nuts or bolts holding this, are the any hidded bolts etc. that I have missed, spent three days so far and not getting any wheres fast, is this the correct way to get the matrix out, any help wilii be gratly received.

Maybe a small inspection mirror and a decent light would help you to see betterwhat's going on.
