Default Ford Escort rear wiper problems

I have a Ford Escort CL 1998 (R) Petrol 1391CC

I have a slight problem with my rear wiper, I think I have pinned it down to the contacts below.

The picture above is the ones I purchased from the scrap yard today
(mine are still in the car)

However I am stuck for what these parts are actually called. Hence I am drawing a blank in my internet searches.

I have cleaned mine up and are like new. One is the washer and one the boot light. They work fine, yet the wiper one doesn't. If I cross a wire from the boot to the lid it works fine. So it's as though the wiper prong isn't connecting. As I shut the boot I watch and it looks as though it's going to hit the base? it really is a baffler.

Any ideas would be appreciated and as to what these are called.

Edit:

I have sorted the problem out since posting this.

It appears that the plunger (1st on the left looking at the above picture) must have been up the swany. I have replaced the plungers (in the car) with the above (from the scrap yard) and all is working fine.

I have had to order one from Ford as the retention clips have had it and it won't stay in place.

Thanks for looking.

Have a Merry Xmas and a prosperous 2010
