for those that want to go faster than 106 and dont have the money for a new ecm or to remap there current ecm. to bypass that anoying governor start by removing the center triming around the shifter. once thats out of the way, right under the radio and directly infront of the shifter you will see a wire harness. in the harness u will find a white wire with a black stripe, ( the only wire with that color combination ) cut the wire and add a toggle switch to it. now when u flip the switch off, the governor will be disabled! its that simple. even though this isnt the best or most correct way to do it, it will work and u can finally find out what the little escort will do! im not shure if this works on all models, but it does work on the 3rd generation zx2's.
