96 Escort when I come to a stop or slow down for a corner and start to push the cluch in to down shift, its dies. It sometimes idles real rough when at a stand still, but the part that really gets me it that it does not do this every day. Sometimes I can go a day or two with no problems. Some other things that seem to happen is the car has lack of power, the check engine light comes on for a while and will go back out. What could this mean.
