Hello everyone I recently bought a 1998 ford escort zx2 with a 2.0 dohc engine. It's putting out a p0102 code (maf or vaf a circuit low input) from doing research i think i should try cleaning or replace the mass airflow sensor?. it's also putting out p1507 (manf cntrl veh. spd. idle speed control auxilary inputs), from reading i think i should replace or clean the idle air control valve?. and the last code is p0113 which is Iat sensor so i'm assuming idle air control valve?. The car is idling a little weak and erratic and when driving its sluggish. The person I bought the car from put a cone filter and tubing in. replacing the stock air system. The maf is loose in the metal pipe and theres another 4 prong wire with plug thats not connected to anything. I need to get this car inspected to drive my baby daughter around if anyone can offer advice it would greatly help, thankyou!!!!!!!

 

thanks for the reply. so i went to a junkyard and got a stock air assembly (the whole plastic setup including air temp and mass airflow sensor) and slapped it in and all codes went away and car runs great!!!!!. the guy i bought it from put an aftermarket air intake in and removed all the sensors!!!. anyways the only other issue is the readiator fan isn't turning on. I replaced the fan motor, the coolant temp. sensor. and the 40 amp fuse for the fan cuz it was blown. and it still won't turn on. any suggestions. whats the best way to direct wire the fan to a switch?. thANKS.
