speedometer noise

Default speedometer noise
Has anyone heard of a buzzing noise , then the speed ometer junps around 5 or 8 mph usually happens when I hit a bump. I,m driving a 1995 escort lx 79000 miles.5 spd.my son just bought this car with 74000 miles, and it just runs and looks great. Thanks
