I understand the actuators are prone to failure. I purchased a new actuator but need some guidance as to how to get it replaced. Can someone give me the procedure how to access this backdoor actuator. Thanks.

 

You can buy them on Amazon.
they sorta snap on hard.
But easy to replace. Just have a second person hold lift gate up while you replace them.
i have done mine twice!
You Tube has a nice video showing how to do it yourself. I always buy OEM or ford motor craft first. If parts no longer made then buy third party.

Its a easy fix! Kinda fun to do. Just requires muscle and few tools.
