Ford Excursion So the size of the Expedition is not enough for you, then the massive Excursion is the way to go. With options including a powerful diesel engine, the Excursion is like a tractor trailer built for family use.

Default Jump Start

I jump started another vehicle then got in, and my Diesel Excursion was running, but gauges didnt work and it would not accelerate. I shut it off, it restarted still no gauges or acceleration. I turned it off again, and it wouldnt start I think because it ran out of fuel, because fuel pump was not running. Any one have any idea?

Default RE: Jump Start

I'm at work right now and can not look at my 01, but check to see if there is a fusable link connected to the positive side of the battery. This sounds like a possibility since you have no electrical functions other than starting the diesel. I would think that if you had a gasoline engine that it probably would not restart since there would probably not be anything to fire the sparkplugs. Hope this helps.

When connecting jumper cables on any newer vehicle ALWAYS use your owners manual so as not to fry the electrical system. Check fuses/fusible links first. Then look for overloaded circuits in any blown fuse/link wiring.
