I have a 2003 excursion with a 6.0dsl. about a week ago my odometer stopped working displaying only "test" or "garbled numbers" (I think).
everything else in the cluster works fine. can anyone help me with this

You can try to pushing the reset button for the tripminder, with the key off, and then turn the key on. That should put the head into self test, you will have to push the button about a dozen times and it will go through different features until it finishes the test. At the end of the test, it may go back to normal operation, if not, time for a new head.
