05 EB Expedition. Drivers Power seat dead
Has anyone else had any issues with the driverspower seat? The seat wont move and you dont hear anything like its trying to move.
Is this a fuse issue ? also the last person to use the seat was my wife so its pushed way to close to the steering wheel for me...is there a manual way to move the seat?
Just curious about any potential cures before I take it in and get told there are like 10 other things wrong with the vehicle.
Thanks in advance

Will the seat move at all? Up or down? anything electric move at all? IF not you may have a fuse blown or possibly a open in the circuit. Usualy you have movement in one or another direction if one of the motors are bad. Most new seats have more than one motor. As far as getting told that you have 10 other things wrong with you car. It is better to know about a problem even if it is small to prevent it from becomeing a high dollar repair or possibly a safety issue. As a technition I see both sides. Even if you request not to hear about any isues a tech finds and they can become a safety issus the tech is required to tell you. If not the tech can be held fully responsible due to failure to inform laws.
02- Thanks for the reply.
There's no movement at all...no up or down and no back and forth. You dont hear any motor trying to work either.Youre thinking it might be a fuse?
Is there a way that I can manually move the seat back?
Regarding my comment about finding out about 10 other things wrong...I had a bad experience with my last car when I took it in the dealership for new tires and ended up having them try to tell me that I needed a new radiator as well as a few other things....tookthe car to another dealership for a 2nd opinion and they found no such reason for a new radiator.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.

I had mine stuck, but I could hear a faint click, took all the plastic around it off and saw the motor underneath and saw 2 twisty rods on the side of the motor, one goes left and the other right. Each pull out seperatly , I took one off ran the motor and half the seat moved , did the other half and the whole thing moved again. Seems like it was just one half was stuck and seperating them fixed it. Just may have to fiddle with it to get the seat lined up even if you move one half to far but its very easy, just need to take the lower plastic off, no need to remove the seat.
