did you replace the cluch pack or someone else?
if its not to hard i would like to give it a chance. i'v allways worked on my own vech's, but thay have allways been older type vech.
you know back in the day when the only thing that was close to a computer was the radio. most of the time it thay didn't have that.

 

It's just like mulletman said. Last year I had the clutch pack replaced because it was too tight and what happens is which ever way you are turning the inside wheel spins faster than the outside wheel just like a posi-traction ahich makes the tires chatter. It feels like a rubbing sound when you turn corners from take-off. It is a warranty item. THE 2005's do the same thing. It's a problem they havn't fixed.

 

my 03 is out of warranty, so i need to eather fix it myself or come up with the $$ to have it fixed.
thats why i was woundering if its a shade tree mech. job or not.

 

It looks like you will have to get it fixed or it might wear out the tires like mine did. Yesterday i put on the 3rd set of tires. 46,000 miles

 

I think you can do it at home. Get the kit from a Ford Dealer and look inside to see what is all in there.
Grab some tools and a 12-pack of beer

 

beer loys and lots of beer. than some tools. i did some surching to find prices and time factor. i found the time factor. 4.2 hr. i think that at a shop. so at the house, all weekend long and a run to the boot legger.

 

got off the phone with ford.
got prices for new parts.

slip additave (req'd) - $8.00
beer (req'd) - $14.95 (price may veary)
