Exclamation 2013 Expedition rear side window explosion

Have owned the car exactly 1 yr. Liked it until we were driving down a 2-lane country road and the 3rd row rear side window/driver side exploded/imploded. We were going 60mph. Never heard an impact sound, just sounded like a big ice chest full of ice tumping over. Weather conditions that day: sunny, 75 - 80 degrees. Nothing inside cargo area that had been "thrown" at the car. Someone would have had to had incredible aim to hit us at 60mph! Dealership took pics and sent to Ford Warranty and warranty was denied because "it is not a known problem".
Since we can't drive around with cardboard and duct tape looking like Beverly Hillbillies, we are having it fixed to the tune of $600. I called Ford Customer Service today while it is in the shop. Very nice person on the other end of the line took down my info and said either dealership service manager or Ford Regional mgr. would be calling me in next 4 business days to hopefully resolve the issue, but I am not holding my breath after seeing other posts regarding windows.
I did tell them that this was our 4th Ford with plans for a 5th next year, but that I would reconsider that purchase if this was not solved to my satisfaction.
Also plan to file a complaint on safercar.gov (NTSB site) pending Ford's response.
Will update with Ford response.
