5.4 block difference interchange
Hi folks, got a 2005 Expy EB with the 5.4 3v motor. Looks like #3 rod took a dump and knocked a chunk of block out ...... Still fires up and runs LOL but bangs and knocks like hell, spews oil from the hole in the side of the block...
Kind of funny, I only remember 1 motor that did that 25 years ago in a Vega GT 4 cly. threw #2 put a 4 inch hole in the block... and just kept on running.................
anyhow here is the question,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I have a 2001 SVT COBRA block (5.4) 32v block......from a Lincoln mk8 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, will the 3 valve heads timing garb,,and guts fit that 01 5.4 32v block >????
..............let me know what you think ,
I want to use most of the 3v stuff from the 05 3v 5.4 ,,,on that 01 5.4 SVT block............ Thanks .................Jay
