i have a 99 eddie baur expedition with 6" fabtech lift 35" pro comp tires and 125,000 miles on it. it runs great and everything has been great until about 1 1/2 ago when we put in new rear gears and 35" tires. its started out pretty mellow with a grinding sound when turning at low speeds and light skid marks from my tires in the parking stall over time it progressed and gotten worse. not it is to the point that any lowe to medium speed turning you can feel it fighting it and in parking lots turning is an embarrasment. not mention it is eating up my tires.

has anyone heard of any awd problems with eb's?

 

Sounds like the gears you put in are not matched.

 

Did you only replace the ring and pinion in the rear differential or the front and rear?
