Blower motor resistor
Hi guys,
The wifes 99 epeditions blower was only working on MAX. After some research, it seemed the blower motor resistor went bad. So I went to the local dealer and he had one in stock. I replaced it and noticed that the fan still didn't work. So I took out the new one and it looks alot different than the new one. Are there different types? Here is a picture of the two showing the differences. The new one only has three prongs for the electrical connector vs 4 on the old one.

Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

RE: Blower motor resistor
Ok, went back to the dealer this morning and got the correct part. I installed it but the motor still will not work so I'm guessing the switch went bad. (initially all that worked was the high setting, but she tells me now that the high setting stopped working a couple days ago). Is replacing the switch going to be a project? Does the dash have to be removed? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
