PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME! I purchased a previously loved 2006 Expedition this weekend and the dealer forgot to give me the keypad code (I prefer that to recognizing that I forgot to ask...).

I can not find information anywhere for locating the RAP module for the 2006 Expedition. The dealership I purchased from is 3 hours away and my other options are to make that drive or pay another dealership $150 to look it up. Can someone help me figure out where to look?

 

The white access card isn't in the handbook folder?

The VSM (Vehicle Security Module) is located under the R/H dash near the upper kick panel area. The dealership should read the code at no cost if it was a sale..

 

I looked in the handbook last night but the previous owner must have removed it. The dealership will happily read it for free...but it is 3 hours away! 6 hours of driving is going to cost me almost the same as going to a local Ford dealership and letting them charge me!

To be clear, you are saying it is on the passenger side (assume R/H is right hand side of the vehicle?) near the upper kick panel? I got on my back on the driver's side with a flashlight and did not see any modules with 5 numbers visible all the way up the firewall. I will try the passenger side tonight in that case.

 

Your local Ford dealer should do it for you no charge , tell them that they will be doing all of your repairs . They did my and I did not buy it there.
It took al of 15 seconds to come up with the code.
