O2 Sensor Codes
I need some help diagnosing some codes on my 2003 Ford Expedition, 5.4L Triton V8
Here are the codes (in this order):
P0171 - System Too Lean - Bank 1
Freeze Frame Data (P0171)
Fuel Sys 1 - CL
Fuel Sys 2 - NA
Calc Load (%) - 56.9
ECT(degF) - 167
STFT B1 (%) - 51.6
LTFT B1 (%) - 28.1
STFT B2 (%) - 53.1
LTFT B2 (%) - 21.1
Eng RPM - 618
Veh Speed (mph) - 0
Spark Adv (deg) - 129.2
MAF (lb/min) - 1.6
TPS (%) - 20.8
O2S B1 S1 (V) - 0.450
STFT B1 S1 (%) - 51.6
O2S B1 S2 (V) - 0.000
STFT B1 S2 (%) - 99.2
O2S B2 S1 (V) - 0.410
STFT B2 S1 (%) - 53.1
O2S B2 S2 (V) - 0.000
STFT B2 S2 (%) - 99.2
P2196 - O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean - Bank 1, Sensor 1
P2198 - O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich - Bank 2, Sensor 1
The MAF sensor is very clean, so I kind of doubt it is that. *I have had a lot of these O2 codes and it has never actually been the O2 sensors. *I have changed them all out before, and changed the #2 sensors within the last 50k miles or so. *I can’t find any hose leaks, but I would think that would only generate lean codes.
Thoughts:
Why is one sensor reading rich and one lean?
The 2nd and 3rd codes are concerning the #1 sensors, but the freeze frame data shows 0V on the #2 sensors.
Any insight would be much appreciated!!
