problems

I got 2001 exped. when i give it gas idle low and has slow pick up. New fuel pump and filter dont know what to do.

Engine idles rough, sometimes shuts off. Drives fine but I have to hold my foot on break and gas to keep it running at stops. I was advised to change the idle air control valve and I did but the problem still exist.
