Default Rear diff leak.

I had my 03 at the dealer to change the tranny fluid and during the 100 point or so inspection they said the rear diff has a minor leak at the driveshaft yoke (pinon seal?).How do I go about installing a new one?

First you have to drop the driveshaft, be sure to mark theshaft and flange for reassembly, then take the pinion nut off and remove the companion flange with a puller. Check the area where the seal rides on the flange to make sure you don't have a wear mark on it, if it does, replace the flange. Again witha seal puller, remove the seal and install a neew one with a seal installer so as to not distort the seal. Then install the flange, making sure you torque it to the correct rotational torque so as to not destroy your ring and pinion and then reinstall driveshaft.

Just make sure you understand that sentence or it will be an expensive repair.
