Any brand you recommend? When looking on the Munro webpage it listed shocks for the front and rear and then mentioned a strut assembly for both. Very confusing. I have a problem on the front that the inside of the tires only are chopped and wore badly. The rest of the tread looks great. I have had everything checked by several folks and everything appears to be fine, but the shocks have a 115,000 on them.

Sounds more like an alignment concern but with that many miles it's not a bad idea to change the shocks.A goodMonroe should be fine but maybe someone else has some input on them. If you are thinking of changing them yourself you will need a spring compressor and there is alot of tension on those springs. If you haven't had it aligned I would try that first. Alignment numbers should be about.
.5 neg to .7 neg camber
about 5% of caster with .5 to .7 caster split with the lower number on the left
1/8 to 3/16 front toe
If it wore both ft tires on the inside edge I would think that the front toe is at 0 or a neg number (toed out). Rotating the tires helps alot too.
A 2002 Expedition has a regular shock within a spring setup where you can remove the shock without touching the spring. 2003 has a shock with a spring mounted on it so when you remove the shock you are removing the spring at the same time. You then need to transfer the spring onto the new shock and reinstall. Some people will call them struts because the spring is on the shock but mounting the spring on the shock doesn't make it a strut.
