I have an 03 xlt that needs the trans solenoid replaced. My trans mechanic said it is the solenoid or needs to be totally rebuilt, to the tune of $2000. I thought I would try the solenoid first. Is this a very difficult replacement? It seems to shudder into each gear under steady acceleration, is slow to go into first or reverse after shifting out of park and it sometimes bangs into and out of gears. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!!
