07 explore need help please

Default 07 explore need help please

i just bought a new 07 exlore and only 400 something miles on it and when i got home i notice that i smelled burnd rubber in my garage but the car was parked out side in front of the garage so i started to smell round and the smell of the burned rubber was comeing from the truck so i opened the hood and did not see anything but i think there is something worng but dont know becuase u could probly smell it from 5 ft away so please if any one has answer please post them thanks

Off hand could be a couple of things. First someone could have put on tires that are too big for it. Check your correct stock tire sizes to the ones on it now. Next could be an engine belt rubbing on someting or running on offset (not correctly lined up) pulleys. Next I would look for the exhaust burning something. Sometimes road debris (rubber tire chunks,etc.) have been known to bounce up on your exhaust and slowly burn. Another thing that gets on exhaust and smells like rubber burning is new road tar (new asphalt paving). Last can be new undercoating (rubberized) dripped onto the exhaust when applied.

If you have a warranty it may not hurt to have it looked at, though, anyway - provided there's no charge.
